My question would be to my great-great-great grandmother Marie Louise Dupuis: Who were your parents? (I have been searching for over 5 years).

I live in albany ny and have read that albany has a higher chance to a tornado then most places in ny. Now my dad has lived here [1968] and there was never a tornado and my grandfathers never had one while living here [1940's] just wondering why they say we have a higher chance. I thought there was a 5% chance here

My family is from (by all accounts) the israel/palestine region. The rumor in the family is that my father grandfather changed his last name during the british mandate and sadly my grandfather passed when I was too young to ask questions.

Im stuck as to how I can research my roots when I myself am only a first generation american. My mother is traveling overseas next month and i plan to give her a list of questions to ask all of our older relatives in hopes of getting names of family.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I might be able to gather information due to the colonial period and prior? I know that some of my family fled to lebanon and jordan in 1948 and 1967 but we never heard from them again. I fear if i don't get these answers soon they may be lost as the oldest generation in my family hits their 80's and 90's.

I have considered doing DNA testing to prove/disprove another rumor in the family (that my fathers side came from albania/macedonia/greece) but not seriously

Hello and I hope you can help me find information about the Queen of France, Blanche of Castille born in Valencia, Spain. Can you email rcruz724@yahoo.com to obtain any information about this family and it's present connection to the people of Valencia, Spain. Where any palacios named after then and are there any living family living today in Valencia, Spain or France. If so, I would like to make a real life connection becuase I have reason to believe that they are family blood ties to me and I too them. I have no interest in monetary benefits, but there is a genealogy connection that I would love to discover and connect with. Yours Truly, Robert W. Cruz de Blanche, Ph.D.

OK, I understand that the Mayflower took off from England with the Speedwell, a Dutch ship. The Speedwell had a leak so some of the passengers, after a few more tries I guess, boarded the Mayflower to America.

I am part dutch, my grandma is half so could I be related to the pilgrims because my family (grandmother and mom) have told me that our family cam over by the Mayflower)

I know that much of the people on board were English but there were dutch too and i think some servants to the english.

I don't recognize any of the surnames of the list of passengers on the ship, mainly because a woman that I'm related to could have married a man and got last name changed.

So do u know of anyway for sure how I can know and do u think it is possible?

Thanks

What have you discovered?
