Oprah did hers proof: Go to wikipedia and look for African American Lives:

For the 2006 PBS program, African American Lives, Winfrey had her DNA tested. The genetic test determined that her maternal line originated among the Kpelle ethnic group, in the area that today is Liberia. Her genetic make up was determined to be 89% Sub-Saharan Africa. She is part Native American with (about 8% according to the test) and East Asian (about 3% according to the test).

I want to have another baby hopefully someday soon. My son got his name by accident really and it's a rather long story but it really goes with my husbands scottish/irish background and I would like to keep it that way now. Does anyone know any good but unique Scottish or Irish baby names?

I would like to trace he history of a house named Studley Manor, it's situated near the village of Studley - near Harrogate in Yorkshire. I have tried to "Google" it but I get the sites for a hotel and not much more. It was a large country house so it's possible it could now be an hotel. The fees for Ancestry.com and others are far too expensive for me.

I know nothing about the geneology of my Grandfather. My family was very secretive about where we came from. His last name was Shellenbarger. Is it German? German-Jew? Something else?

I'm doing a report on the history of Britain, and I am trying to ascertain if the English primarily descend from the Germanic Anglo-Saxon invaders, or if they actually descend mainly from native Celtic Britons, while only having adopted Anglo-Saxon culture and language. The DNA test are conflicting, so the final piece of evidence is the actual physical appearance of modern day Englishmen and Welshmen. Is there a noticeable difference between Welsh people and English people in terms of how they look? Please only serious answers folks.

Winston Churchill claimed that he was descended from an American Indian, through his American mother, about four generations before he was born. Though I myself am apparently pure Irish, I suspect that I have Viking blood, as many Europeans have through rape or abduction (as in the Charlton Heston film, "The War Lord."

There is someone whose dates fit into known events has possibly having been my grandmother. Same name, born 2 years after my grandfather, and deceased three years before his marriage to his second wife. I clicked on the "Source call number" link from familysearch.org and got this text as part of the information listed:

The document is listed as "Family group sheets prepared by patrons and taken directly to the temple; also baptism-endowment cards for the deceased on these family group sheets." (My grandfather and his second wife were LDS members, unsure if my grandmother was. Their children are mostly Catholic, one LDS.)

Additionally, it says: "No circulation to family history centers. Photocopying not allowed. Must show temple recommend or bishop's letter to use the material. Access to these records requires patron show proof that they may include his/her own lineage."

So, what are my chances of viewing these documents? I'm not an LDS member, so what is a bishop's letter?
