Is it normal to feel like your sinking in your pointe shoes when on pointe ~whiale using Gel ouch pads~? Or is that bad? (I'm a begainer so I don't really know how it should feel.)

okay well im 14. i took tap for 4 yrs. and then stopped 3 yrs later (today) i want to start ballet. my classes start september 5. i thought i should cut out all sweets, caffine, and junk out and start riding my bike to condition myself for the work. i hate running so thats something im not gunna do. i also want to do pointe but i think im too old. also bcuz of my age ive heard of a shoe called a demi pointe it wont support you to go on pointe but i gets you ready for pointe and i figured i start on that. will my prior dance history help me any? i love dance and i willing to give it my all. so is the diet and condition a good idea? at the moment its summer and i havent been as active as i usually am. so im worried. please answer soon. thank you.

what color tights are mostly used in modern ballet?
im going to ballet camp and the attire is pink tights for classic ballet and cut off tights for modern does that mean they have to be pink aswell i wanted to see if nude/tan color is a better color for modern

can i wear tight dance (not soffee) shorts to the camp because the just said black leo, pink tights, pink shoes,etc.

do converters count as both full and cutoff tights?

have you ever been to ballet camp? tell me anything you can about im freaked that im not going to fit in because though im good at ballet ive been doing rhythmic gymnastics and am used to a team atmoshpere. im freaked also that im not skinny enough!

I'm a male and I am fascinated with the culture of the middle east and north africa. Are there any good dance styles from that region that are somewhat masculine and that you could perform by yourself in a resturaunt or club? We all know of belly dancing and I read somewhere that many men in those regions (especially Turkey) still belly dance. The problem is my mom doesn't want me to be belly dancing so is there any style that is just as amazing and dazzling as belly dancing but performed by men. Also, if you have any links to sites that have information or show how to perform the dance style, please post them. Thank y'all so much. BTW, I'm already aware of the stick dance and whirling dervishes and those aren't as fun to watch as a belly dancer. I also know about moroccan tray dancing, but I can't find any information on it.

Hey! Can anyone give me a good link or some tips for dancing? I'm absolutley horrible at it, and it would be useful to look decent at times like a school dance or a party or anything like that... usually i just try looking around and attempting to copy others, but the results are horrible.
