Work your splits. The easier you can do the splits sitting down, the easier you can do them in the air.
Once you have them easily on the ground, practice things like doing them against the wall (either with the front leg going up, or down).

just like they say you get better at dancing by dancing, the same goes for jumping- even if you just jump straight up and down, you strengthen the ligaments and tendons in your legs so you can go a little higher over time.

Strengthen your legs by doing some wall sits and stretch everyday to help your legs split in the air. Improving toe-touches also helps strengthen your legs.

By doing leg exercise each day and get practice your leap across the dance room. That what I did when I want get my leap straight.

heel ball toe relevees slowly and then bend down the knees and keep going then add a hop and gradually progress to jumps. trust me it seems childish but if you have a higher jump the longer youll be in the air to notice your legs and fix them!

Stretch, stretch, strech, and have someone watch your back leg to see if its straight, toes pointed, watch arms! If you don't think so much about getting it perfect it will come

I have heard that many dancers do pilates. It is known for lengthening and stretching and toning muscles.

Are you talking about toe touches...I used to Do kickline in High School..Now I couch....Do lounges! Go low..really strectch....When your ready to lift...I always used to go on my tipy toes and I got more height! But I am not fully sure what you mean...Contact me and I can better assist you :-)
