you can start ballet at any age, just start with some beginning adult classes, i did ballet for most of my life, it's a very graceful type of dance you'll enjoy it.
hope this helps!

You are never to old to start dance! Ballet would be a great beginning but you should definitely go to a reputable dance school in order to enjoy the beauty of the dance. There is a lot of technique involved, but with the right training I believe than you can succeed and turn into a beautiful dancer! Good Luck!!!...and definitely try other types of dance as well, like jazz and hip hop!

You can do whatever the heck you want. I took ballet during my last year at Grad school (I was 26) and loved it. Unfortunately I am as stiff as a board and not very flexible. I am also built more like a gymnast than a ballerina. I had a lot of fun but I realized that I would never be any good at it. I would love to take figure skating and learn how to do basic turns and jumps. Even though I sucked at ballet, my legs really started to look really toned.

No, you are not too old, but ballet is VERY demanding and takes a lot of practice. Weight training, strethcing exercises, running, and a whole lot more. It is a punishing discipline that takes a lot of dedication and hard work. You might be better to go to the health club or take up ballroom dancing.

Ballet is a good place to start, and no, you are not too old. You may never dance the role of Sugar Plum on pointe on stage at Christmas, but you can certainly do ballet.

It's great exercise.

It's Never To Late! I'm a dance in structure and have been for 15yrs.
My point is I've had people as old as 45 start dance and out dance the people who have been taking dance all their life.
If your heart is in anything you do it will show on the outside.

You can start ballet at any age. Actually it is great for someone your age. It keeps you in shape which is great!! It exersises muscles but doesn't take you out of breath. It is also very pretty. Many studios have beginner adult classes.

No, you can start basically at any age, you just have to have an incredible patience and be dedicated. You can do classes at junior colleges or studios that offer adult classes (pretty much every studio does)

i don't think you're too young. i went to a class a couple years ago that taught beginner teens and adults, and some of the people in it were in their 30's.
