Does anyone know any good fantasy-young adult books? I've read a few that I loved (Maximum Ride and Twilight), if that helps at all.

Write me a short story containing the following characters, and places.
Story must contain all the characters and must not contain any new characters or

places.

A mean witch
A broken wand
A talking hat
A faerie that can't fly

Scene is set in a forest or beach (it is up to you)

You must include all the characters, in the short story.
You may not create new characters, in the short story.
You may not create a new scene, only beach or forest.

The witch must be refered to as either "old witch" or "mean witch"
The talking hat must be refered to as either "leather hat" or the "brown hat"
The faerie must be refered to as "poor faerie" or "little faerie"
The wand must be refered to as the "broken wand"

I will be writing one of my own as a example.
Best short story wins a star.

Good Luck.

Please do not tell me to improve our website. We publish books, and we do not design websites. Go to www.bellissimapublishing.com. Yes, we know the website is colorful and has music. Yes. We know we are different. We mean to be different. We like our look. We are trying to find out what motivates you to buy a book. And we do not want a critique of our website, even if you are a web expert. Be specific. Is it price? The cover? The story? What kids of books do you like. We know you want good characters-- Would you consider purchasing a book from our website, or do you prefer Amazon or another source. Tell us what you like about Bellissima Books. Would you consider buying and reviewing a Bellissima Book if you could win a free Bellissima book for best review? What things motivate you to buy a book? I own Bellissima Publishing, and I have tried asking this question, but I am hearing the same old thing. You can also send an email to us at admin@bellissimapublishing.com

I need a good book to read....but hold on!

Please don't say Harry Potter, or Dan Brown
Or teen books
Or sickeningly soppy romance
Or self help books (You can be A Champion too- Become a Winner in ten days....they scare the wits out of me!!!)

I need a good, interesting book, written by sane people for sane people, which makes me feel, "Wow, that was no waste of time!" when I finish reading it.

Something on the lines of Harper Lee, Wole, Nadine Gardiner, ...I loved Catcher in the rye, ...but not the same authors, because I've read most of their works...someone new please.

Thanks a lot.
