He was a superb writer, yes. But he was 84 years old. So I don't think much about it. I really liked the guy! It is not like he died young and we'll all sit around wondering what could have been. So whatever. God bless him!

It's sad...he was a great writer. He did live a long life though...well into his eighties. It's just sad that he died as a result of an accident.

I think that it's sad that he died the way he did. He survived the Bombing of Dresden, but died from a fall. Very anticlimatic way to go, considering. Poor guy.

Oh I didn't know he'd died. I like him. Still, he was quite old, and we do all have to go sometime.
