Herodotus learnt geography and the act of travelling from Hecateus. This helped Herodotus to come out with his result on the history of the egyptians and also on the wars.Hence if Herodotus in the 19th century was named the "Father of history" what then will we call Hecateus? And will we say that Hecateus contributed to coming of history?

Imagine it's another time centuries from now and we're reading a text book... what's the reason for so many people in America, etc. being overweight?

Worldwide, what issues will make the biggest chapters, why?

Let's say the world has made it this far environmentally... what will be gone?

Will cigarettes still be around?

What will the history books say about the media?

If we are then that means that we have the essence of universal goodness, or the best of the creation resides in us because of us. We can then understand that we will survive all ages of the universe. And if we are not the best and there are some other alien beings in the far flung corners of the universe better and more capable than us that we can understand that we do not have the best of the creation; that we are not indispensable, the essence of creation will exist even without us.

What is the difference between "teleological theories" and "Consequentialism(consequential theories)" ?

The defenitions (Wikipedia):
* Teleological ethics refers to ethical propositions which are aimed at a certain "end" (telos in Greek, hence "teleology".)
* Consequentialism refers to those moral theories that hold that the consequences of a particular action [form the basis for any valid moral judgment about that action]. Thus, on a consequentialist account, a morally right action is an action which produces good consequences.

Varieties of both consequentialism & teleological theories are: utilitarianism and "ethical egoism".

I don't understand the difference between them.
