Hi guys, my grandfather who is 89 at the time got pneumonia 10 days ago and got sent to the hospital and put on antibiotics. he also had a low oxygen level. Today he is still the same, or worse and they have changed his antibiotics 3 times. Now the doctor says his lungs are very weak and needs a breathing tube. He wants to put him in hospice now. Im really confused because before all this he was in good health and from 10 days forward he's doing really bad. If anyone has been through this or can relate please write back. Ive never had anyone close to me die and i cant imagine my life without my grandpa. Should i send him to another hospital to get a second opinion? Thanks for reading this, god bless.

Ok, this is not an attempt to get flattery or compliments. OR INSULTS. It seems that a lot of the Yahoo Chemistry Section questions deal with balancing equations, looking up data and other things one must be able to do to become proficient at chemisty. Too often, in my opinion, we with knowledge simply provide answers rather that take the opportunity to teach the asker how to do something. Learning chemisty is a matter of learning the principles and how to apply them. Balancing equations is a good place to start.

In my perfect world no one here would ever balance another equation for an asker but would offer hints about doing it and let the asker struggle until he gets it. This is how learning happens. Why are we helping to undercut this process? Your thoughts????

Say, for example, I put up my original fiction, such as poetry or a short story, on a website such as livejournal or myspace, is that considered 'published' writing? Or is it only considered 'published' if it's out in print, like a book or something?

The reason I ask is because of a writing contest says it doesn't want unpublished works, and I'm trying to figure out if the poems on my LJ are published or not. >.<

I have a couple of wild rhubarb plants growing in my backyard and am really excited about getting to use the end product, but I need to know if there is anything I need to do for these plants during the season..

The gf and I were having a hard time, she was struggling w/ something in her head, and I wsa getting confused and frustrated. After talking to her one morning, she said I wanted something she couldn't give me (?) despite the fact she had already given me everything I could have ever wanted from her, but then stopped w/out explaination. Anyways, driving home, already frustrated, I did say a little prayer, asked God to show me what I needed to do and for the willingness to see what I was shown. Simple enough. Not more than 2 seconds later, a squirrel ran in front of my car and I ran it over. Didn't kill the poor thing immediately, but it was a fatal injury, I am certain. I about lost it.

Assuming it was indeed a sign, the sign I asked to be shown, what should I have taken from it? I read it as, what is done is done, and I must let nature take it's course b/c I can't undo anything. Any reactions or further thoughts?

Because of the rise in gas prices we decided not to buy gas for one day about $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and let's try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

Another question, some of you complain about minorities having "special privileges", What about your WHITE PRIVILEGES?
Whites can wish, arrange to be in the company of people of their race most of the time. Whites can turn on the television or open to the front page of the paper and see their race widely represented. They can easily buy posters, postcards, picture books, greeting cards, dolls, toys, and children's magazines featuring people of my race.
whites can go shopping alone most of the time, and assured that they will not be followed.

I can't delete a file called 'Sony Ericsson File Manager' on Desktop. When i right-click on it,the only options I have are:

Open(does nothing)
Explore(doesn't appear on Windows Explorer)
Create shortcut
Rename.

I can't even move it. Please help!
