I'm a college student who has been in a relationship with my boyfriend for half a year, and I've been using the pill as birth control. I've switched between different kinds, but apparently have a sensitivity to the hormones involved and have ended up gaining 30 pounds because of it. I risk becoming diabetic if my weight is even slightly in the overweight category because of my family history, so it seems the pill isn't an option for me. I am not open at all to getting pregnant at this point, but I don't want to end my sex life, either. What do you think I should do?

My car was running fine, and then I got an oil change. When I was driving home my engine started making a clunking noise. I pulled over and when the wrecker came they checked my oil and said I was dry. They put 3 quarts in and towed my car. This morning they called me and said over night I overflowed 2 quarts. Some guy in New York carved a statue of Jesus -- naked, 6 feet high -- out of chocolate, and titled it "My Sweet Lord" . It is scheduled to be displayed next week (Holy week). If you find this offensive, is it because he's naked, because he's made out of chocolate, or because of the title? The person who carved the statue declined to comment (in the article I read), so I have no idea if he meant to be offensive, or if he was trying to celebrate Jesus using his medium (he is an artist that works with food). Would it make a difference to your opinion either way?

OK, I have been guilty of this before, but there are people on both sides who claim that the other side "hates America".
The Liberals hate America because they're "wimps and friends of terrorists"
The Conservatives hate America because they're "greedy businessmen and racists"
But do any of us REALLY hate America? I know I don't. Except for a VERY few amount of people in this country, we all love America. Heck, I'll bet even those nutty conspiracy theorists are glad to live here.
We need to quit letting all this political B.S. get in the way of our country. We have let politicians erode our rights and our way of life for so long, it will soon be gone.
In the next election, vote for a candidate who is good for AMERICA, not good for some other country!!
We all love America, we just all have different opinions on how to make it a greater country. Except my opinion's better.

Let's suppose a business has a product that companies can subscribe to for $30/month. Can the business take a deduction for donating a subscription to a non-profit organization? (I suppose a web-hosting company would be a great example of the type of situation I'm thinking about.)
It's not a "service" in the sense that the cost is based on the number of hours worked -- yet it's not quite a tangible product the non-profit could hold in its hands.

my brettas temp gague is digital, shows that the car is heating up to the 3/4 line after only driving less then 4miles, Ive replaced the thermostat, the water pump is good, the fluids are good, not sure what else to check.

I have converted virtually everything on my 1992 Mercedes to synthetic;engine, tranny, A/C pump, and power steering fluid.
I read one person who stated NOT to change the differential to synthetic, such as the 75W-90 I bought for my car.
Can anyone tell me a reason why/or why not I should do this?
