I just had a new furnance installed last week. I have a home that is 104 years old (I've only owned it a year and a half) with all the plumbing connections in the basement crawl space. Even though I have insulated all the pipes I can get to, they froze today. I have a heat tape on there now but my question is:

Wouldn't it be the more intelligent solution to vent heat into the basement to prevent this from happening again? Is it unusual and/or wasteful to heat a partial basement normally?

I'm young, but I noticed that my right knee seems to click whenever I do lunges or walk up the stairs; sometimes even down the stairs. It doesn't happen all the time, but even when it does, there's NO pain. It started happening around half a year ago, and I'm wondering if it's anything worth stressing about? I won't be able to see a doctor anytime soon.

and walk away without owing finance? I thing my agreement is over 36 months and I can hand the car back at 18 months. Does this sound right? The financial adviser said I can do this but that the finance company doesnt like it when customers do it. Will that affect my credit rating if I do do this?
