My dad was (talking) about gettin me a laptop. But he didnt say whether for sure he was getting me one. But the other day I recieved a thing in the mail from dell saying "Thank you for choosing dell." The inside said"in addition to offering you our gratitude, we're also bringing you limited time discounts on top brand-name accessories and ect...."

The inside just contained codes for savings of 20% and 10% off along with codes for accessories and electronics.

I am nosy so i wanted to know if anyone else recieved one after purchasing one. If my dad did, it would been bought online since he shops online. THanks!

I'm stuck on a Physics problem-
A 7.5 kg block is resting on a horizontal surface, and is connected to a 5.50 kg mass suspended from a string passes over a frictionless pulley. Find the acceleration of the system and the tension in the string if the surface is:
(a)
smooth, and
(b)
the coefficient of friction is 0.190

I have found the acceleration of the system with the smooth surface, but i can't find the tension in the two strings or the acceleration of the system with the coefficient of friction.....

Any help is greatly appreciated.....

I read a lot of answer hear and other web sites. Some say leave it off except for highway diving. Other Say leave it on and some even say leave it off. What happens if you leave it off all the time? I have a Nissan Automatic with an overdrive switch.

I wanted to post this in Movies but it is more of a music question.

I saw a trailer for "A Good Year" at The Vue cinema, there was this french song which I recognised.

I don't know it's name but a girl sings it and it used to be on Magic. It is entirely in french and was a hit in the UK a few years ago.

I don't know french so can't write the lyrics but there is a line which sounds like "low lee ta" which is repeated slowly several times.

Does anyone know the name of the song and the artist?

I recently met this guy from israel, who was an exchange student at my school. we got along really well and he seemed to be totally into me. But, now he's gone- he had to go back to israel because of some conflicts at home. we exchanged emails and he promised to keep in touch. now I realized that i have feelings for him because i miss him sooooo much, but he's a million miles away! you never know how much you love something until you lose it- I hope I haven't lost him yet! please tell me what you think and maybe give me some advice too. =(

Please help! My elderly parents are begging me and my family of 2 adults, 1) 15 yr old, and 1) 3 yr old to come home...but all the flights we are finding on cheaptickets, expedia, etc are $2000 and we can't afford that!
