the f(x)=f(-x) simply means that its an even function i.e. for every value of x no matter +ive or-ive the y value remain same
so in graph u have given value of -x
i.e. f(-1.5)=2 as shown in graph (y value)
so for f(1.5)=f(-1.5)=2
hence value should be 2

you need to see where the graph of the function intersects the X axys. in order to do this, you need to solve the equation x^2-4=0. x=+-2, that means that between (-2,2) your graph is beyond the x axys and for every other interval it's above the x axys.

Unless, I'm confused. f(-1.5) = 2 in the graph. And, since f(-x) = f(x).

f(-1.5) = 2 = f(1.5)

f(1.5) = f(-1.5)
from the graph, f(-1.5) = 2, so
f(1.5) = 2

y equals negative 1.5

Is there some catch? This is too easy, and doesn't require graphing really.

no offense but ur pretty sstupid if f(x)= f(-x) then f(1.5)= f(-1.5) just the opposite duh
