Last year I had to do an onstage kiss. It really wasn't too big of a deal...just a kiss at the end of the play (although on the last night my leading man stuck his tongue in my mouth...p.s. he's a smoker). Now I have the lead in a play ("It's a Wonderful Life," adapted from Capra's classic film). If you've seen the film, you know that the kissing is frequent and there are a couple of really passionate, intense, dramatic kissing scenes (e.g. the telephone scene). I even think the play added a couple of kisses in the stage directions. Can anyone give me any advice on how to perform this CONVINCINGLY. I'm not worried about "Oh no! I have to kiss a boy onstage!" This time it's more how do I do it convincingly, especially with so many intense scenes?
