help me with this physics promblem?

neglect the effect of rotation of the earth. suppose the earth suddenly stops attracting objects placed near its surface then????????what will be its effect on a person standing on the surface of the earth. it will
a) fly up b) slip along the surface
c)fly along a tangent to the earth's surface d) remain standing

answer is d) but tell me how?? can it be the right choice

Please give your openion about Dell's laptop?

I wish to buy a laptop. My friend is strongly suggesting me not to buy a Dell's laptop coz they are of inferior quality. But here in Australia Dell is perhaps the cheapest.

Can anyone tell me if you agree that Dell's laptop are of inferior quality and has operational problems (regard less of current battery problems). Please share your experiences.

all i have been thinking about latley is that i will only see life from my point of view and no others and i will die only seeing this point of view and so will everyone else and some times i wonder if i am a different person every moment, and that if something happened to me 10 mnutes ago instead of now i would of reacted differently. i also wonder about death and how u can think when your dead, u must do something how can you just stop what must it be like not to think and i always wonder how the world will end and such. im asian and a guy and i blame my race for the fact im not popular with women. Im half-korean and koreans are the dorkiest and the nerdiest of all asians.
