From some googling, apparently empty sentences are redundant or self-evident sentences (http://www.sfu.ca/~whitmore/style/order_02.htm):
Hang-gliding is dangerous.
It was raining hard on the concrete and there are puddles.

Elsewhere: A second type of empty sentence states an opinion without supplying facts or reasons:
We should impeach the president.

Oh...right.....I stuggled with this question for a minute, then it came back to me.

An empty sentence is a sentence .... (are we clear what a sentence is?).........with no VERB in it. A verb is a 'doing word' ....jump walk eat think..... anything that describes an action.

An example of an empty sentence......this is hard bcz they don't make sense........'A dog black fur' You begin to get the idea?

A dog black fur ...what? Without the verb......it's non- sense.

Hope this helps.

i guess and empty sentence is a sentence wherein the words don't give a meaning at all or doesn't have sense.

ex.

She rode a bike because the sun has set.

My teacher complains that my work is so messy that she can’t read it and she wants me to be
neater so that she can read my work.
