Please help me settle a debate. Here is the scenario:

Say you buy a house for $100,000 and get into a 30 year mortgage with a bank. Over the years, you manage to pay off 70% of the principal (with interest), and thus you have built equity on your home (say 70%). Then disaster strikes and for whatever reason you can't make your monthly payments. You try to sell the house on the market but no luck. For simplicity, you have $30,000 left to pay on your loan.

The bank ends up repossessing your house and auctions it off for $80,000. From the sale money, it keeps the necessary amount to cover your outstanding debt (say $30,000), and any administrative costs it has incurred (say $2,000). The left over money is $48,000.

Now, here is the question: where does this $48,000 go? Does the bank keep it or do you get it (since you built 70% equity)? Does your equity vanish if your house gets repossessed and auctions?

She told Rusty(husband) that she wasn't right...and that she want'd to kill herself. She has a chemically imbalanced brain and it got worse with every pregnancy...at the 6th child she lost it. If u were rusty would you leave your kids with an admitted insane person? Keep having kids and leave them to be home schooled with this person knowing how unstable they are? Come on!! doctors had her on 3 meds cause she was very ill. She should have been removed from her home and kids after the 2nd kid when she first felt suicidal. what do u think?
Here in Houston a lot of new facts comming out.
1) we all know she did it 2) If your not able to keep your head clear of voices telling u to kill how are u supposed to make rational decisions 3)and 2 the person who asked how dare blame Rusty...he was obviously the only sane adult in the house! He took her 2 the Dr's off where he was told to keep her contact supervised- family, babysitter, nanny, he's an engineer at NASA! He's got the money.

My husband of 7yrs has a relationship with another women for about a year now. My marriage has never had any problems, we don't fight and we are always with each other.
