year. we trade off on our kids. although i have them 3/4 of the time. anyway,is that legally seperated? are we still responsible for the others bills??

No, a legal seperation is a done through a legal motion and has to be filed with a court of law. Sorry to say, you are still liable for all of her debts. I hope you will seek a divorce soon and end the turmoil you are going through. good luck. Its no fun, but you will no doubt be happier and better off when it is all over.

To be leagally seperated you need to file it thru the courts. If you don't you may be responsible for her bills until you do.
The best thing to do is just file. CYOA (cover your own as*).

the law doesn't recognize separation, only divorce.
