when a man is drug dependent we sometimes say that it isnt his fault. that he is only a victim of peer pressure and society. when this same man rapes a woman who walks the streets alone at night in her most revealing clothes we say that it's not the victim's fault but the attacker's. where is the logic there? shouldnt it be the fault of the substance that made the man rape the victim? isnt it also the victim's fault for failing to recognize that it is not safe to walk the streets alone at night wearing almost nothing considering that there's plenty of deranged individuals out there who have completely lost their minds? pls dont get me wrong. rape is really really bad and must be punished no matter what. but dont you think that it is illogical to put all the blame on the attackers? some offenders are victims too and women should accept the fact that it's a dangerous world out there.
