I would so love to go to New York one day, but I don`t think it will ever happen, but I`d like to know a little about the statue of Liberty from someone who`s been up inside of where those windows are, which I learned of, only about 20 yrs.ago, honestly! lololol.

I'm going to NYC for a three day weekend this month and my plans for staying with a friend have fallen through. Does anyone know anywhere that is safe AND inexpensive? I'd prefer to stay in the Soho area (I'm getting tired of staying in Midtown), but don't know much of what is down there.

Does anyone have any original ideas what to do in New York City. I'm looking for something different not the usual tourist things like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empiror State Building, Plays etc.I was thinking about the Tonight Show how to get tickets. Also where to eat low or moderate price. Also a hotel looking for something inexpensive but clean it's for 2 people. And what about Jekyll and Hides is it somewhere to go if you don't drink.

I'm flying into La Guardia 'cuz it's cheaper, but it's easier for people to pick me up at Newark. I can't seem to find any good shuttle services or options other than a cab or public transportation.
Any suggestions would be helpful!
