JFK and Newark are about the same distance away from Manhattan... Newark is less crowded, in my opinion, and you won't hit as much traffic going into the city from the airport... you never know what the traffic will be like when leaving JFK... good luck!

The closest would be LaGuardia Airport because when you get over the bridge you get to LaGuardia before Kennedy Airport.

You are lucky to have a choice of three airports closeby:
La Guardia Airport
Newark International Airport (NJ)
Kennedy International Airport

Newark and JFK are the same. It is cheaper to stay on the NJ side and there is a train that takes you over so you may be better off going thru Newark.

Closest how?
By milage, its LaGuardia.
By quickest from office (or home) to airline gate, definitely Newark.
By convenience, JFK. (Greatest number of departing flights.)
