I need to know first -where- this big market is in Venice
and then -a map- for the area.
It is a market for clothes, suvenirs, antiques etc
(something like the big open market of Camden in London)

I have searched a little on the web but I found only info
about food/fish and meat markes (but not what i want)

Does anyone know about it?
And maybe a link for a nice map of the area?

Thanks in advance

I travel a lot. Every time I arrive in Italy, I get depressed, every where one goes it seems their trying to rip you off, even in simple purchases, taxi, hotels, clothes, restaurants,, etc.

Am I alone in getting depressed only when I am in Italy? It is full of chaos, confusion, people seem always mad gesturing such madness with their hands, etc.. Yet it is the land of the popes, Leonardo, Sofia Loren, etc..Gee, maybe a tranquilizer would help eh!

When I visited Venice, it was pouring with rain, water was up to your tush from flooding, the St. Mark's campanola had fallen down and had been rebuilt in 1911 or something, the place smelled like a drain
and still you couldn't move for people, the gondola ride costs a week's wages, singing is extra, Harry's bar I missed. Why should I reprise this experience?

Do those "undergarment" pouches really work? I have one that goes under the waistline of the pants and another that hangs from a string around your neck under your shirt. I'd like to have as little as possible in my pockets!

Also, I WILL have to carry a small bag (and i look like a tourist anyway...fat, white, blue eyes), so would little padlocks on the zippers be a good idea? Seems like pickpockets on a train or bus would rather go after someone with an easier bag to get in. Am I right??

Any other ideas that might help??

Hi there,

I heard that both places are gorgeous but no offence to any couples the last thing me and my girlfriend want is to get stuck with couples at a very quiet place...I think single people will understand what I mean...Any suggestions about these places or other beach places in Europe we could go for? (try to avoid tacky destinations)

I have a holiday booked 21st to 25th. Wanted sunny weather, so I chose Rome. Does anyone know what it's likely to be like - unbearable / just very hot?
tips on how to cope appreciated!

Within 2/3 miles of the city center and near good transportation.
This is for early September after the main summer season.

Must I become a citizen of Italy?
Is finding work there difficult?
Will I lose my American citizenship?

Italy is a great place to study abroad? I'm thinking about it and it seems like a good place to study and learn the language instead of stupid old books. I'm going to London and Paris next summer and I want to get a sneak peek of Italy before I come home. I have always wanted to go there and studying seems like the perfect opportunity. What are good cities to go to?

Is it also true that they like African American women? Just wondering lol ^_^
