I recently bought a European Chi Iron(comes with a European plug capable to work in India) which can be used with 230v/50hz. The place I bought it from told me that I could use this in India. But some people are telling me that India uses 240v. I looked online and found multiple websites which said that India uses 230v/50hz; while others said that India uses 240v. I'm really confused, can someone please tell me. Thank you so much.

I am an NRI, now US citizen. I am going to india with my wife and 2 kids aged 12 and 14 for around 3 weeks. Can I carry 2 Laptops with me.
