About iDiscoveri -
City life does not provide many opportunities for outdoor experiences, so Youreka is something out of the ordinary. Says Anubhav Das of iDiscoveri, "We organise a weeklong summer camp every year for kids from nine to 17 years, and this time it is starting May 6.

The main focus of this educational camp is to build confidence in kids. "Activities include rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, music, photography and journalism.

"In the North we have three campuses, namely Sitlakhet (Kumaon hills), Tirthan (Himachal Pradesh) and Tons (Garhwal hills). In the South there are Kullur and Coorg in Karnataka," explains Anubhav.

Talking about the programme, he continues, " Periodic discussions with facilitators concretise the ideas and the learning.

The day is divided into sessions. In the pre-lunch session they work for five hours to develop skills, and the post lunch session includes minor activities and programmes."

About - TIRTHAN -
The Tirthan Valley in Kullu District is one of the most beautiful places in Himachal Pradesh. Located within the Great Himalayan National Park, the road winds its way lazily along the river through forests and past fields and tiny hamlets .
Run on the lines of a modern clubhouse replete with activities and facilities, The Himalayan Trout House is a social center in the Tirthan valley providing a friendly place for locals and visiting fishermen, trekkers, campers and other holiday makers to meet each other, exchange stories, share bonfires and eat outs, read, listen to music, play games, laze in hammocks etc

Tirthan is off the highway enroute to Manali. You take a detour from a place called Aut and it is about 45-50km from there. It's famous for the Tirthan river valley and for the trout fish that you find there. There are 2 places to stay - one is the Himalayan Trout House and the other is Raju's guest house. Tirthan is also close to the Great Himalayan national park.

It's a beautiful place, peaceful and calm & IDiscoveri is a very good organisation which is into the field of education. enjoy yourselves and tell your parents not to worry, you'll be fine !
