In Indian Railways, what is difference between 1st Class AC, AC Chair Car, AC-3 tier and AC-2 tier classes?

First difference is the cost.
1st class AC is the costliest. You get a berth in a coupe with 4 berths. ( bunk Style ). Bedding is provided and the bed always made before you board. There is a small closet with a couple of hangers on one side where you can hang your stuff. There is an open hanging space too. Plug points are available within the coupe to recharge your cell phones. An attendant is present who is quite courteous. You also get a small soap in this class.
AC Chair Car has chairs lined up as in an aircraft. Not comfortable for long distance travelling.
AC 2 tier is similar to AC 1st class, but you have to put out your own sheets. No plug points etc. No coupe either, instead there is a curtain which separates 4 berths from the rest of the compartment.
AC3 tier is very uncomfortable. There are 3 berths one on top of the other. So you have 6 berths in an enclosure which is partitioned off with just a curtain. Space between 2 sets of berths is very cramped.
Also AC First Class fares are almost as much as Air Fares.

Pricewise or accommodation wise?

AC Chair car provides only sitting accommodation (with a slight provision for reclining). AC - 3 Tier has 3 berths one over the other with another 3 berths facing and 2 berths to the side.

AC - 2Tier has 2 berths one over another, with 2 facing, and 2 to the side. Thus a little more spacious.

AC - I class has bigger and wider berths and there are no side berths. So, only 4 berths in a cabin which can be locked at night and there is a passage (corridor) outside to enable you to go to the toilets which are better maintained.

Price wise, AC Chair Car, 3 Tier, 2 Tier and I class in increasing order.
