Well, that's a little incorrect. I'm going through the application process and will most likely be accepted. I'm in highschool. It's for the whole school year (well 11 months including an intense language and culture training program). I have no clue what part of Germany it will be. I'm very excited about the chance but I'm clueless what to expect. Has anyone been to Germany as an exchange student or any Germans in highschool like to kind of tell me what it's like?

I am trying to book a flight from cologne-Bonn (CGN) it leaves at 14:35 on tuesday the 26th (the second day of christmas in netherlands). What time would I have to leave to have more then enough time to make the flight?

How long does it take to get from Amsterdam to Cologne and what is the cost?
How much would it cost?

Im trying to decide if i should spend a night in bonn and book the next day on my flight or if i can make it in one day.

@tm i'm favouring the Baden-Wurttemberg and Bayern regions, for their scenery and proximity to France, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic.

My fiance is in the army. Hes coming back on oct.21 and we plan to get married 3 days after that. Hes going to be here for 10 days, or 24 days. We are leaving to Germany (thats where he is going to be stationed). Now my question is, I need to get a passaport but it takes 4 to 6 weeks to come in the mail and if i want an emergency passaport i need to pay about $300. Can I get my passaport now even though my name is going to change in a couple of weeks?
