Hi from Düsseldorf, Germany. A glass beer (it's a special beer from Düsseldorf that we call "Altbier" - it's light dark) will cost about 2.50 Euros, but you get 50 Cents back when returning the glass. A meal... well... depends what kind of... A so called snack (Bratwurst: 2.50 Euro each, French fries 2 Euros a portion), or a mushroom plate with garlic (3.50 Euros) or pancakes (1.50 Euros each) or a steak (a small one for 4 Euros). If you ask me, try a "Bratwurstschnecke", which is a 1.50 meter long Bratwurst, rolled together.
The Christmas market in Düsseldorf is in the "Altstadt", means Old city, and you will find hundreds of pubs and restaurants there anyway. Go and visit www.duesseldorf.de or www.duesseldorf-marketing.de and see.
You also can contact me, if you want to, it's a pleasure to help you or to find something out for you :-)
Bye from Düsseldorf, Germany
