Frankfurt in November last year was fabulous!!! Mild weather, friendly people, and fun!
If you get the chance, visit Trier as well!

Colour Hotel, Baseler Strasse 52 or Comfort Hotel Frankfurt, Moselstrasse 23 are both good bases.

Which Frankfurt? Frankfurt am Main or Frankfurt am Rhein? If it is the latter, it'll be fantastic. Although, I'd go to Hamburg!! Have a good time!

superb. there was a nice hotel near the cathedral, might even have been called hotel am dom.

don't stay near the hauptbahnhof if you can help it
do go over the river to sachsenhausen for a night out, much better than frankurt city centre

its actully pretty good in the city for shopping year round,but i prefer kaiserslautten,over the main bahnhof
