I'm going to Munich next month and would like to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. I'm not sure shall I make trip to the castle on my own (is it easy to access?) or just join a day trip tour? If choose a tour can someone recommand a good tour? should I book in advance before leaving U.S. or book it when I get there?
Thanks for any suggestions!

I have heard that there is a common form of serially published stories in Germany. I don't know if they are in magazines or books, but I've been told that they are available at any marktkauf. I'm actually looking for more information about them, but I don't have a german word to use as a basis of that search.

I saw a giant banner in downtown Munich, Germany with words above. It translate to "One must eat, which comes on the table". I don't understand why someone would put a giant banner with simple words there. see photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/mosihq/260583808/

I am going to Germany in February and I need to know what I should bring to use for money. I was going to bring credit cards but i am reading that they have a bad exchange rate. I was going to take traveler checks, but I can't find to much information on them, and if cash is the best way to go, then should I exchange it here in the U.S. or when we get there to Germany? IM SO CONFUSED! Help!

I am from Malaysia, and planning to visit Germany for 6-7 days during the month of December 2006. I heard a lot about the black forest but, had no idea where to go to see the best of it. Does anyone is helpful enough to advise? If i stay at Wurzburg, Bavaria, is it accessible to the black forest?

I am going to stay 3-4 days in the baden-wuerttemburg, at Wurzbug, Rotherburg and bamberg. But, i am unsure about the weather conditons. I am from Malaysia, a hot warm climate sort of country. Can anyone advise me on what to prepare? I plan to visit the nearby cities and towns. One of them is Fussen, where the neuschwanstein Castle is? I heard that it is a nice place.
I hope someone could help me.

I know an American who traveled to Germany recently, and someone asked him if he was ashamed to be an American right now He answered with, "No, I'm proud to be an American. Immigrants are fighting to get in my country, not out." He then asked the man if he was ashamed to be a German, after what the German's did to the Jews during WW2.

Or anywhere in central/southern Germany to Eastern/SE France? For example how about a bus/train from Munich to Strasbourg? Or a flight from Germany to Lyon? Do you know of any? (I suppose it's easy to get to Lyon from Strasbourg by train or bus after that)
