We will be beginning a 3 year millitary tour in Germany during November. Since my husband and I won't be "home" for our "traditional" family Christmas celebration we thought we might go to Paris and do something special. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What are the different ways to get from Paris to Reims, from Charles de Gaulle or Orly airport? My husband and I usually rent a car and drive, but I know it's possible to take a train to Reims. Can anyone provide detailed travel directions for taking the train, including estimated time and fare? Thanks.

I have plenty of days to spend in Paris and I'm kinda getting tired of planning for the typical museum visits and site visits.
Any cemetaries, interesting sites, cool things to do that are off the typical tourist agenda?
I saw that the Drain/ Sewer museum is available. MIght be kinda interesting. Stinky as hell, but whatever.

I'm meeting my husband at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and I need to meet him somewhere inside the airport. We're each taking different flights and arriving at CDG sometime in the morning an hour apart.

I don't want to get arrested, but I had friends that got their pockets picked in Rome, and they said it's also a very frequent crime in Paris.

Ok, my mom said that if I learned French she would take me to Paris or London! It has been my total lifelong dream to go there and I wanted to know if you know any websites that can teach me French and are free. It would also be cool if you told me some words in French that would be helpful. Thanks so much! P.S. If yours is good Ill Bring you back a souveneir! lol

I'm planning a weekend trip to paris with my boyfriend later on this year, i have read a little in a couple of guidebooks, and websites etc, just wondered where the cheapest places to eat, stay (but still niceish, we dont want rats chewing our toes or anything) and visit? As I am a student the money is a big issue. Any suggestions would be most helpful. thanks.

The last time I was in Paris (two years ago) I loved putting together my own picnics at the different cheese, bread and wine shops. I can't tell you how many times I said to myself "I wish I had my Swiss Army knife!"

I also remember the metal detectors at the Louvre and other attractions, though. Does anyone know if I'd get in touble for carrying a Swiss Army in my bag (about 3" closed)? I certainly don't want to cause a scene every time I go into a public bldg.
