What about the check in counter of one of your airline company?
CDG has several terminal and a shuttle bus links them all so check which terminal you are arriving at and take it from there.
in CDG1, I'd go for the Maxim's restaurant all the way downstairs. At least you can have coffee or breakfast while waiting. and if it is closed, there is another snack bar / cafee nearby so you can sit there and go to maxim's every now and then!
In CDG2, I'm not too familiar with it and it has 4 terminals! I'd pick an airline counter, or even the post office (I think there is one in each!)
Check the website http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/Adp/en-GB/Passagers/Arrivees/PlansGuidesPratiques/PlansEtServicesPratiques.htm
you can get maps of each terminal

Are they both going to Terminal 2, are you both in transit? If you are both inside security the safest thing to do is to meet at the gate the first of you fly from and then look for a nearby cafe. Bear in mind it may take a good 20minutes to go from say 2B to 2F waiting for the shuttle bus etc. Take or rent tri-band cell phones and try to call each other. Otherwise there are restaurants and cafes near every exit outside security and an underground with a post-office in the middle of the ring. You could also meet at the TGV station which tends to be less crowded..
Hope this helps.

In every international airport, there is a Meeting Point : Point de rencontre, generally easy to find : or else you can go to the Point d'accueil and an hostess will make an announcement saying that such person is waiting for such person at such place !
Don't hesitate to do that !
Have a pleasant trip !

Meet by the American Express currency exchange booth. As far as I know, there's only one of those and it's right by where you exit the baggage claim area (on your left). And the line of taxi's is just right outside. FYI, there are some taxi companies that will take credit cards, just ask before you get in, assuming you are taking a taxi. Otherwise, the currency exchange booth will come in handy.
Good luck!

There are several terminals in CDG. Choose the terminal 2A and there is a cloak room. That is unique place and there is no otehr cloak room in CDG. So, you can easily identify the place and I am not sure about the name of the clock room

Meet at the baggage area. Its a big open area that faces doors...and there is only one baggage claim area that I know of so you cant go wrong like that. I think i remember there being benches nearby so you can sit down to wait if its going to be a while...

I would just meet at a specific location, like a restaurant...an hour isn't that long when it comes to airport time. It could take that long to get your luggage.
