HI!
My family is planning to take a vacation in the Mediterranean. We're planning to take the Costa cruise. This is our first time to travel via cruise ship and would appreciate any tips from previous travellers of Costa.
My family consists of 4: my husband, me, my 11yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. Any tips on what cabin in what part of the ship is best to avoid seasickness, etc. would be very appreciated.
Also, we like buying lots(!) of stuff from different places but I read that passengers are allowed only 1 baggage and 1 hand-carried bag per person. Is this strictly enforced? Any tips on how I can stow some stuff that would not fit in my baggage on the way home?
Any other useful information would be very appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance!

Would you say that going to the south of the Carabbein would be more exciting than the North (including parts of America)?
I am taking a cruise next year and need to know which cruise I should take.

I want to know about how much money I should save to go on a cruise. There will be two adults, preferably a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean, I live in Utah so I have to fly to a port, probably in Texas or Florida (that's another question, are there deals on plain tickets when purchasing cruise tickets?)
Keep in mind that meals are free but I want to do some activities at the ports of call, like swimming with dolphins and doing a zip line canopy tour of the jungle, just a few things like that. I also don't care too much about the room size. I basically want a good estimate, and rounded up just in case. Thank you.

I have seen it advertised on TV but can't remember the name. The commercials are advertising that it is different than other cruise lines because it isn't structured. You don't have to be at dinner at certain times, nothing is scheduled, it's all at your own pace.

My husband and I want to take our first cruise at the end of May. I don't even know where to start looking but I want something really nice yet affordable. I don't want to spend more than 1000 a person. Any suggestions?

I am going on a Carnival Cruise in the Caribbean December 17th - 21st. What kind of clothing should I pack? Is it always warm there that time of the year? Are there chilly nights? I'm not sure what I should pack.

I'm supposed to make Brochure for a fake cruise ship going to all the places Odysseus went.

Any websites where I can see the layout of the brochure?

Ok I was so excited about going on this Caribbean cruise next month that I wasn't that concerned at 1st. But I've cruised before & know how small cabins are (we're in an outside quad) and I'm kinda concerned about how uncomfortable we'll be. First we all have to shower before dinner & only one shower? Will we ever make it to dinner on time? Also it's 3 girls & 1 guy (we're all friends) but we don't wanna change clothes in front of him. So that's going to be an issue. If you guys have any tips to make things a little easier we'd luv to hear them :)

Any tips for getting the most out of our first cruise would be appreciated. We haven't a lot of money, so information about cheap and free activities would be helpful

Buying a cruise as a golden anniversary gift. I can afford bare-bones but wanted to make it upgrade-able if other family members want to contribute and allow them to change it however they want.
I've talked to a travel agent close to the recipients and one close to me. I like "mine" better but not sure it's the best option. The couple is older, one born in Canada (the departure country of the cruise) and one in Europe. I want to be very sure that someone will help them with their passports to be sure they can re-enter the USA.
Considered just opening a gift fund with a travel agent, but every time we give them money to buy something, they give it to "someone who needs it more". A travel fund would likely be used to buy tickets for their kids to come visit - but maybe that's their prerogative?
The anniversary is Dec. 20. The cruises I'm looking at depart n May or June.

If you have been on a Carnival cruise, did you enjoy it? What did you like about the ship? I'm just wanting to hear what you have to say.

First Time Cruiser on Carnival Paradise on 12/17/07, departing from Long Beach, stops to Catalina Island and Ensenada.

1. Anybody going on this specific cruise?
2. Are all food free? Including the formal-dining food?
3. For the dining room, do I have to wear a tie?
4. Which types of beverage are free?
5. How does the buffet work? Do I walk in, get my food, and dine on any table? Or do I need to be waited by a server?
6. Where do I get the entire schedule for music and entertainment?
7. Do I need to dress up for the theater show?
8. Any specific things I should look out for?
9. Recommended excursions?

I was wondering if anyone has booked their cave tubing shore excursion through www.belizecruiseexcursions.com before and have done the Xtreme Cave Tubing. I was considering booking through them instead of through RCCL. I know the risks involved but from the website it seems to be ok. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

Does the ship sway much? What kinds of sounds do you hear at sea (not counting sounds of music and goings-on). What's it like not seeing land in any direction?
