Everyone wants to trick you or to steal your money just when they see you're white. A taxy driver drove us 15 km more just so he can take more money. When we told him that we want to go by the sea when we return (that's the shorter way) he says 'OK' and we saved 5 euros. And everyone thinks they are soooo funny but their jokes are soooo lame. I am sooooo disappointed.

I wanted to go on holiday there but i heard that the head scarf muslim wear is banned. I was under the impression that the people there are muslims and would be more welcoming to the head scarf. I wear the head scarf and wanted to know if what i have heard is true. i can't go there obviously if it's true.

we have now booked the royal azur in hammemet, as we wanted to be in same area as the padi dive centre, does anyone no what the royal azur is like?? is the food and drink expensive in hamamet? or in tunisia in general, for example how much would a bottle of house champagnr or cava cost etc etc ?? any advice on hotel or the area would be great.

Please can anyone give us any information on the hotel: Riu Imperial Marhaba in Port El Kantaoui. We are a couple in our 40`s and are due to arrive in Port El Kantaoui in early September 2006, we have searched many sites throughout the internet and have only been able to find a few sites that give us information and reviews on the hotel itself, maybe you yourself have stayed at the Riu Imperial Marhaba hotel or know someone that has.
Any information would be most helpful.
