I played Golf yesterday and was scoring well until I had a disaster on the 16th hole.
It was a par 3 and I hit my T shot just left of the green, when I got to the green I noticed my ball must have hat a bad bounce and ended up on a steep narrow gravel path about 15ft left of the green. My stance here was very awkward, making my next shot a very tough one. I want to know what all my options were/are here (should the same happen again). Can I declare my ball unplayable? Could I have gone back to the T and played my 3rd? Help!!

I am a +2.6 handicap and playing well in Arizona Amatuer events I am 21 and about to finish college at ASU. What is the best formula or way to go about turning pro and having the best chance of being successful. Should I be hiring a swing coach to travel or a caddy to travel, I dont know the ropes and was hoping that somebody would know better what the best and most successful method would be.

got my company golf tourney comin up....my clubs are 5 years old.....whats the best way to restore some sheen....even though i got a less than 200 dollar set of irons that habitually whoop up on the chumps that spend near a thousand on there irons.......i still like to look good as i rub it in....ant suggestions?

I was in a golf tourney last year (stroke play) and one of my foursome had put his approach about 2 inches from the hole. He walked up to the flag, pulled the pin and tapped it in. While it was fine with me, one of the other members claimed it was a violation and a penalty.
So I got out my R&A Rules of Golf and have been searching for this rule specifically. And I can't find it.
So the question is: What specific rule and what specific rule number was violated in this case?

Please don't just say it's a violation, because I think you are probably right, but show me where you found the ruling. (It's probably a two shot penalty.)

i am a complete beginner, i have starting lessons and am looking to buy some clubs so i can practice and play with some of my mates. Can you suggest any good packages or clubs which are not to expensive and any good websites or shops where i could purchase them from? cause i dont have a clue!!!
