Probably about 225 yds. Figure a driving iron similar distance to a 1 iron. So about 2 clubs longer (20-25 yards).

When I was playing at 16, I could hit a 3-iron 210, and a 2-iron 225. A 1-iron would have added another 15 yards.
You can figure on 25 yards more--225. It's a bit trickier to control.
I found the odd numbered irons were easy to hit dead straight; I practiced with a five, for consistency, then moved up to the longer irons and practiced the middle and then the shorter irons separately, modifying stance and position of the ball as exactly the same each time as i could Goal: Accuracy; consistent length--not just one great shot followed by a banana left hook or a slice.

Depending on your ball flight, I think about 235 yards. But why use a driving iron? A 3 or 4 wood would do the same and is more versatile, as you can use it from the rough and is easier to hit off the fairway.

Yea usually you get 15-30 more yards with the driving iron.
