Most famous one is probably Gene Sarazan, who holed out on a second shot on a par 5 15th hole in 1935. Helped him win the tournament.

Once in a great while, players will record an ace on a par 4. There's a course I have played with a big dogleg left but is a typical par-4 if you take the long way. Not many people can cut the corner because of trees, but a big hitter can go for the green. In the paper one day, I saw that someone had aced it, prompting a reaction from my friend: "That's one hell of a poke."

Sure, a hole-in-one on a par for or 2 shots on a par five. There are even rarer cases of 4 under, hole-in-one on a par 5. This happens when the par 5 has a severe dog-leg and the golfer cuts the corner. Very rare indeed.

Yes, it's happened many times.

There has even been 4 under pars on par 5's 3 times in history when someone got a holie in one on a par 5.

Sure, it's a double eagle on a par 5. It takes a spectacular second shot, and many say it's tougher than a hole in one.

yes its called an 'albatross' or a double eagle...it has been done numerous times both as aces on short par fours and as 2s on par fives...one of my cousins (Rick Alemania)has an albatross, and gives my nephew(Alex Caducio) who has a handful of aces a hard time because he has never got a double eagle...(which is more more rare than a hole in one)
