Watching most of the game Brazil-USA today, I was shocked to see Robinho fail again and again to produce a single decent play. And I am talking about a nice dangerous pass or scoring opportunity. All I saw was poorly executed dribble attempts, roll-overs and many giveaways.

Is he worth the spot on the team? There are more efficient Brazilian forwards out there, like Adriano, Vagner Love, and maybe even Kaka if he was put in that position.

I play soccer for my high schools team. Im the JV team, and I know I could play varsity if I could just kick the ball better. I can kick it like 20-30 yards, but it only leaves the ground like a foot or two, and I hurt my foot every time (I'm right footed). I used to use my toe when I first started two years ago, but obviously your not supposed to do that.I ve tried using my laces, side of my foot, side of my toe, and nothing works, PLUS it still will bend my foot backwards or something. The pain is on the top of my foot, like where that bone you can feel runs from your big toe to your ankle. I'm not sure if this will help, but I have great ball handling skills, its just my long pass/shooting/field-crossing. I play forward and center-mid (inside and out). Can someone PLEASE help me with this? Thanks alot.

I'm not a football fan but it makes me mad that British clubs will spend millions of pounds of the British fans money on foreign players when there must be loads of talent here at home.
British teams ie. Man U, Chelsea, Rangers, Celtic, etc are doing great individually but when it comes to national games we are way behind the rest of the world. Why? All our best players are foreign!
Don't all you footie fans out there think that your money would be better spent looking for players in pub and Sunday league teams rather than fighting for Mr Unpronounceable from Japan or Italy?
It's a shame that the kids over here are pushed ot of the way in favour of high priced replacements. Anyway, my rant is over let me know what you think. Maybe I'll regret asking this question but we'll see. Thanks, xx.

Has English football sold its soul to the Devil? and is now paying the price, at least in terms of the National Team?

The beautiful game is played around the world with more than a 100 nations involved in the world cup. Why is it that a nation mad about sports dosnt get football ... or is it the fact that they dont like losing and thats why they favour sports where only they can win... or be the favourite

Doctors provide a much more worthwhile service and it does involve skill... so why do they survive on a low income compared to footballers: some of which are multi-millionaires??
