Footballers get paid a massive amount because the demand for good footballers is high. Fans who buy overpriced football shirts for £35 are feeding the clubs with money that they can offer to players to keep them at the club and wanting to play for there side
Doctors however are empolyed by the NHS who cant afford to offer such high saleries no matter how hard they work or how good they are.

Doctors are overpaid as it is, at least in the US. A doctor here gets around $200 looking at something for 5 minutes. That's $2,400 an hour! At least a football game lasts a couple hours.

Football also saves lives, it avoids depression, it is a sport, sports create endorphines, endorphines make you happy, happy people don't get sick....
moreover a footballer career lasts almost 12 years only, some docors work all their lives.
Doctors are just ordinary people as anyobody else they become doctors by vocation not for the money they earn.

I do agree that footballers are seriously over-paid but it is not their fault, of course. If someone offered me £100,000 a week I would take it too!
The thing with footballers though is that they have a very short career in comparison. Most do not last 20 years and they certainly do not command the highest of wages throughout their whole career!

Beacuse the footballers put butts in seats at stadiums. Seats that cost big money multiplied by 50,000 to 80,000. They are income producing assets to the owners of the teams. They know it, the leaugue union knows it, and the owners know it. Yes doctors are more worthwhile and needed on the planet but the answer to your question is what it is. All about the Benjamins.

It's a mystery. I was in hospital not so long ago with a head wound. I was feeling faint. A doctor ran past me and down I went, like a sack of potatoes. I heard a whistle go and suddenly lots of people were around me pushing and shoving.
A nurse picked up the scalpels and advanced towards the doctor. the doctor shouted "pass the scalpels" She passed them to the doctor. The doctor had the scalpels. The surgeon who was watching shouted "on his head, on his head". the scalpels went in........and what a magnificent stitch.

there are more doctors than football players. Good football players are hard to come by. so they get paid more for their services.

For commercial reasons. Yeah doctors provide a more worthwhile service to humanity. The all mighty dollar rules. Sad but true.

Its not a low income and the general public decide to pay their money to watch a football match. Who wants to watch a doctor?
