In the UEFA Champions League knockout stages, when a match goes to extra time (for example both matches finish 1-1) and if both teams score 1 each in extra time is the away team declared the winner due to the away goals rule or does this rule not count during extra time meaning the match goes to penalties?

im a female....and i LOVE LOVE LOVE football...for those in the united states, i LOVE LOVE LOVE soccer.

however, i cant stand the female version. during the world cup, im glued to the TV. i cant get enough....i pretty much watch every single match. i know the rules of the game enough to the point where i feel like i could do a better job than some of the refs!!!

but then the women's world cup comes around and i have no interest at all. its the same game, same rules...but i just dont feel like it has the same passion associated with men's football/soccer.

i have my favorite premiere teams that i follow too...but none of them are part of the women's premiere league.

am i just not giving the women's version a chance??

I would like to purchase tickets as soon as they are available and arrange for travel and accommodations once I know I have tickets.

I personally love soccer. I've lived in the U.S. most of my life, though I was born elsewhere. What's wrong with it? It's fast-paced, it's tense, it's exciting, it's got no sissy padding (although sometimes injuries are faked, which is always frowned upon) what's the problem?

Personally I don't like the following American games for the following reasons:

Basketball: it's the same pace as soccer, but there's too much scoring and crap; there's no tension. It's all accumulation. It's fun to play though. In fact, watching half-court games and variants is more fun than full games.

Baseball: Most boring sport ever. America's worst contribution to the world since the Atomic Bomb. It's people throwing balls to each other and chasing them. It's not exciting at all. I guess you have to be drunk to watch it.

American football: I like it for the tactics and all that, but other than that... commercials! Waiting!

So if you hate soccer, explain why, giving real reasons, please.
