Daily jogs, less junk food, more water, no soft drinks, basic dribbling drills, streching before drills, and passing could help. Have a time to work and stick to the time set. Continue th healthy deit even after the teams practices start. During games drink water then Gatorade after and during half.
Tell him good luck.

You have to talk to him and tell him that in soccer there are no out of shape players. Put him to run or jog for at least 20 minutes a day, 4 times a week. It will work!!!

Bike riding can be benifical and fun . I also reccommend a lots of jogging, touch your toes, knee bends, crunches, leg lifts, and other various aerobic stlye exercises.I purchase Bruce Lee's book Tao of Jeet Kune Do and it has a excellent work out plan divided into strength and endurance workouts!

You could get him an exercise tape or a swimming pool. both are the best ways to get a kid of the couch and looking fit and slim. also try getting him to eat more healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables.

Yeah, make sure he runs a lot. Also make sure he gets a lot of time to play with the ball. Passing drills, shooting (if he plays forward or midfield).
