Because unlike American Football, Football (soccer) is a non-stop game, no time outs or challenge replays, so there is no time to look at cheerleaders. American Football, they set up a play, play for about an average of 10 to 15 seconds, and stop. Then, 5 minutes later they play again for another few seconds and stop, In those 5 minutes then you can look at cheerleaders while the game resumes.
But again if you want cheerleaders during a Football (soccer) Game, just go watch the game at Hooters.

They do have cheerleaders but most of the times the TV networks don't show them cheering. Even though, cheerleading is not usual in football soccer. If you want to see cheerleaders watch the NFL games.

Because it would be a terrible insult to the beautiful game. Hockey doesnt have cheerleaders. Baseball doesnt have cheerleaders. A lot of other "sports" (I am using the term loosely) such as NASCAR, other car racing, and golf dont have cheerleaders. Why on earth should soccer have cheerleaders?

Indoor soccer does; I was a pro cheerleader for the St. Louis Ambush for 2 years.

I think they should. Soccer is a cool sport and every other sport has cheerleaders who have spirit so should soccer

because if it was a girls team playing it would be VERY okward! i mean i play soccer and i think the sidlines are bad enough w/ all the yelling and soccer players dont need boosts from some preppy cheerleaders! i mean thats only for football cuz these football players cant play w/o their "beautiful" cheerleaders and soccer players can live w/o cheerleaders

Because in soccer there are no time outs. Then the cheerleaders would only perform during the half time break.

Soccer does have cheerleaders. Some teams in England do, and many teams in Mexico and Brazil do as well. You just never see them during the games, but trust me they are there.

You have got to be kidding me cheerleaders are useless and it would really ruin the beautiful game of football. People wouldn't have time to watch cheerleaders since football is a non stop game of course there is half time but who wants to waste that watching some girls shout out some lousy cheers anyways
