Not only because I'm Portuguese, but because i love good football , I love my country team, Portugal, the reason not only they have a great team , but they have great players like Figo, C.Ronaldo , Deco ,etc, and if you think that Portugal as around of 13 million people of population you think is very difficult to have great players like we do , compared to other great nations of football like germany ,brazil ,etc they all have lots of population and it is easier to find good players, but this is only my opinion, ohh i like Argentina too , lots of good players there, i hope you like portugal too =P Cya!!

Well, Im an American, but seeing as the United States National team is not one of the best twenty teams in the world (I dont give a damn what FIFA and their rankings say), I would have to pick someone else. I say either Germany or Argentina, I cant decide. Germany/West Germany has probably been the best country in the history of the game (most appearances in the semifinals of the world cup (11), tied for most appearances in the finals of the world cup (7), third in world cup championships (3), most appearances in the Euro Finals (5), and most Euro Championships (3). Seeing as those are the two best international tournaments in the world, and they have pretty much dominated both (true, Brazil cant play in the Euro). Plus, in the past world cup, they were excellent hosts, were very classy, and really played some very, very good football. They have at least one star at every level on the field, with Lehman in goal, Lahm in the back, Ballack and Schweinsteiger in the midfield (sometimes occompanied by odonkor), and Klose and Podolski scoring up front. As far as Argentina goes: I wasnt a big fan of them, that is until this past world cup. They really, really impressed me with their high quality play, stellar defense, and classiness. I thought it was really too bad that they played Germany in the quarterfinals, as those two teams were probably among the best four in the tournament. They too have stars at every level, with Abbondanzieri in goal, Sorin in the back, Riquelme in the midfield, and Crespo upfront, often with Tevez or Messi with him. I hadnt heard of Messi until just a few months ago (its hard in the states, forgive me), and I am already a huge fan. He is incredibly skillful, and yet unlike some young stars didnt cause any controversay, didnt say or do anything really stupid, just played hard and got his first world cup goal. I should add that I think Riquelme probably has the best touch in the game, at least outside of Brazil anyway (Ronaldinho is either first or second depending on how he plays). So there ya go. Germany and Argentina.

When I was a kid, all that was on television were the 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. It got to a point where I started to hate the Cowboys, especially when they were dubbed "Americas team". So during one game I watched the Cowboys Vs. Steelers.
Troy Aikman threw a pass to Michael Irvin in the flat right into his bread basket. Then, seemingly out of no where, in comes this cornerback jumping over Irvin's shoulder, and intercepting the pass. It was the most amazing football play I had ever seen. I became a big fan of the Steeler's ever since, and Rod Woodson is my favorite player of all time.

Germany, because they are a great team that can only get better. And it is destiny that they are going to win the World Cup in 2010. They won the World Cup in 1954, 1974, and 1990. And look at this math problem, 1990 + 1974 - 1954 = 2010!! Gehen Sie Deutschland!

germany rocks
germany because they have the best attackers the best defense
thier players are well trained for penalty shoots...they have the skill to take on defenders with ease..their players can play either in the middle or either wing or even as a center forward
