Mexican Football (Soccer)

Necaxa has been playing very well these days. They won their first game in the Libertadores Cup. However, Chivas will put a stop to their glorious days when they play on Saturday February 24 at 5:00pm (pacific time). Last time Chivas humiliated Necaxa by defeating them with 4 goals. This time, history will repeat. What do you think?

I think that they should go back to the old tournament style in Mexico. There should not be two champions per year (Apertura and Clausura) screw that! They should make a long tournament and have like a Cup during the tournament, like in Spain they have "La Copa del Rey" I know that they have Copa LIbertadores and the new Super Liga, but Mexico needs to have a cup of their own, besides the tournament, to make the Mexican league more competitive and forget about making groups and that repechage crap! Both Apertura and Clausura are too damn short, each of them last around 4 months, so we are talking about around 8 months of soccer!! that is very little. In Europe they play for more than 10 months and have very few months of rest time. They need a change in the Mexican league and they need to make it fast!

After the US defeated Mexico again, do you think that Mexican football/soccer has gone downhill to the point that the Americans are better, or is it the opposite. Has the US team improved over the play of the Mexicans. Granted neither team has a real shot at 2010 barring a miracle, but who is on the right track to win one first?

Because USA had a forward (Donovan) better than Kikin, Borguetti, Omar, Bofo or Cuauhtemoc all together.

This game is about to score goals no to play good!.
