A soccer team is made of 23 players, Mexico will not make it pass the second round with 11 good players, they need to have a strong bench as well. Anything can happen to those players they can get seriously injured, then what?!! use that as an excuse on why they did not make it pass the second round? Mexico needs to think about other players then just their "Star" players.
Hugo Sanchez is just like any other trainer, just because he was a great player back in his days, does not mean that he will be a great coach. There is a difference between playing on the field than coaching outside of the field.

i think with Giovanni Dos Santos , Carlso Vela , Guillermo Ochoa, Andres Guardado, Nery Castillo, Carlos Salcido, Rafael Marques and Hugo sanchez no more 2-0 for the U.S.A "WE'RE COMING FOR U WORLD CUP"

Yes, with these players named, yes, they have a geat Leader Chucho Ramirez who teaches them about playing together in unity and not being show offs! If this mentalty persists Mexico has
a good chance with Hugo! We must keep in mind some names out there that I read..Borgetti, Marquez, Pardo..great players now, but in 2010, not the same! Mexico must put aside their ways of recruiting (having to pay to play) which is the case for many Mexicans! Why do you think Argentina and Brasil have such great players? Because they are discovered in the least likely of places! You never know, that kid in the alley or that boy with out any zapatos kicking a small plastic ball in a trashcan, can be the next Hugo S. Or Pele for Mexico!

No Gio is a completely different player compared to Blanco. Vela and Hugo are also not comparable. I agree with a previous answer, let these kids grow up. If they pan out to their potential then they will be the example for future players. Looking at the cool head that Jonathan has in games and great view of the field....I would say that Jona is underrated right now. But only time will tell.

With those players you mentioned Mexico will be untouchable and could easely win its first World Cup.Think about it! I they allready won the Sub-17 World Cup and they will be playing against most of the same Players they played in the Sub-17 wolrd Cup don't you think they could dominate them again like they did when they played them in Peru? Easely they will!Mexico has a good future with this players in the 2010 Wordl Cup.

mexico will have a strong side for the 2010 fifa world cup i think with the young players there got mexico might make it to the quarters or even the semi-final

Their going to have a very good team come world cup 2010 and lets not forget Juan Carlos Mosqueda he is also a very promising player.

yeah but dont for get miguel cisneros he is a good player playing on a high school soccer team. he is not that famous yet but he can play defence and midfiel. he is good to
