It's always the same excuse. Mexico played well, but they just had bad luck. The reason Mexico did'nt win is because they do not have good attacking players up front. They lack creative players. Cuahtemoc is clever, but he does not have the physical speed or strength. I hate that Mexico always depend on players who are good headers like borgetti and Fonseca. They can't always depend on free kick or corner kick goals. The game is about scoring goals not about keeping the ball and doing nothing with it. I'm sorry to say that at this pace U.S will win the world cup before Mexico. I hope they do, so Mexico can receive a wake up call.

Because Mexico se confio. They wanted to "show off" while The US wanted to score goals. Mexico didnt start shooting for goals until after the US scored. Lets face it, Mexico has an awesome defense, but they are lacking in the offensive game. Boffo and Blanco both think they are some kind of mexican ronaldinhio, and they are too worried about scoring "pretty goals"
Now if Mexico would have started with Guardado isntead of Morales, then it would have been a different story. Now there is the Mexican Ronaldinhio, Andres Guardado. Morales is great, and I admire him, but lets face it, he is a veteran and he cant pass the same as he used to. And Cmon Hugo, why did you have to put Borgetti on the field? I know you want to help him break the record for "most goals" pero you should have started with Guardado, to pass them to Bravo and Castillo. Bravo may have missed that penalty during the world cup, but did you happen to watch how many goals he scored with Chivas this past season?

Carlos Vela, Nery Castillo, Bravo would be playing in Spain but Chivas did not want to sell him pendejo.
Donovan better than all those players??
Donovan only scores in the MLS. He hasn't shown up in the World Cups. He could not play in Europe because he could not adapt to the leagues over there. Any of those players has way more career goals than donovan. Did you even watch the game. Donovan had 2 plays that he actually played. You make a horrible sports analyst.

Mexico didn't win because they simply were not able to score on any of the their many chances. I think that Mexico is lacking a finisher. Borgetti is past his prime, Blanco is also, Bautista can't step up and produce at the national level. Omar Bravo proved in the World Cup that he is not capable to produce, he missed a penalty against Portugal. Also, the US does not have better players than Mexico. Those 6-7 players that play in the EPL are not playing for the teams that are always in contention (Fulham 14th, Newcaste 10th, Everton 8th) . The Mexicans who are playing in Europe are playing for teams that are at the top spots of their leagues (Barcelona 1st, PSV 1st, Stuttgart 3rd, Olympiakos 1st).

You know what pisses me off? that why do u people can't accept that the US won becasue they played better than Mexico did. You're just saying that they won because they had luck, get over it! the US didn't win becasue if luck, there's no luck in football, only talent.
The second goal, yes it bounced in the referee but who's fault was it? Mexico's who threw the pass, Mexico did.

Mexico played a great game, they just need to work on their finishings. If they would've worked more on that, they would have beaten the USA in a respectable 2-1 win.

Basically its because the US is the better teams. Mexico has not been able to beat the US other than at Azteca in 8 years now. This includes neutral site games.
Mexico had many half chances on Wednesday but the US made the most of theirs.
Add to this the fact the US teams was made up of out of season MLS players and not all of their European players(Gooch, Beasley, Cherundolo, and Lewis did not come back over for the game.) were there. While Mexico played 9 of the starting 11 from WC2006.
Time for Mexico to accept US superiority in Soccer.
