All teams signed fair play document, but when Portugal sent a ball out as a sign of Fair Play, to allow medical assistance to an injured player, a Dutch player (Heitinga) took hold of the ball, encouraged by their coach, and started a quick sprint toward goal, to everybody's surprise and bewilderment, instead of returning the ball to Portugal team or, alternatively, send it out, as per Fair Play rules.
Hence, since the ref didn't interrupt Heitinga, there was no choice but for Deco, who was closest to him, to tackle him down in order to avoid a shot on goal.
So... if all teams signed the Flair Play rules document, and Portugal complied, but Netherlands didn't comply and failed to behave per the document they signed, shouldn't the document be dumped? If it's a jungle for some, it's a jungle for all. Deco can't play next match because of the Dutch butchers. The alternative would be perhaps Heitinga scoring a goal and tying up, with all possible negative consequences for Portugal.
