My dad said that this was possible in the NFL; that if a good player is considering retirement, the team might offer him a position change (to minimalize the hits and tackles) to keep him on the team (i.e. from RB to WR).

Has this ever happened before? Is this a policy? Can players request position changes?

Charlie Weis was considered a genius in New England. Do you think that is because he called the right play when he knew what defense was being called or do you think it was because that fat a s s could identify all 31 flavors at Baskin-Robbins blind folded? Or is he not a genius at all?

My friend and I have a arguement. He says that a rebuilding team in sports menas the team is a good team that's now becoming bad. (His example is the Bears) I say it's a bad team that's trying to become good again, like the Raiders or the Cardinals. Who's right?

Ok look, face it...The New England Patriots will win the Superbowl and have a high probability of having an undefeated season, for the simple reason is that no one will be able to stop their offense. Regardless of so called cheating, let's face facts...so you know the other teams defensive calls, you still have to react accordingly, and besides if you have a good quarterback who can read defenses like he should (which Tom Brady is one of those few quarterbacks who can), then you will basically already know the defensive calls...Face it, everyone does it, it's just New England's coach who was so damn arrogant to try it against a team whose head coach happens to know his tactics because he was a former assistant...that's what got them caught...plus, don't blame the players, some may have known but alot probably didn't....they woulda been a liabilty....Now, give me some thoughts on the matter
