Are you trying to decide between the lesser of two evils? No, I'm kidding. Grossman isn't the best of the best but if you're expecting Brian to step up and take over don't hold your breath for him to be able to handle the pressure. Your QB core doesn't support that type of change. It looks like you are going to drop to your knees and pray that Leftwich will be available for you guys. Good luck next year in the draft! Oh by the way... Drew Hensen was recently cut from Minnesota. LOL

NO im not a bears fan but i really believe they wont get back to the superbowl with rex brian griese is 10 times the qb that rex is, i dont know why smith keep putting rexie in there maybe rex has some pictures or some dirt on lovie, the bears are just lucky with the dominate defence they have that they can still be competative but sooner or later the bears are going to need some offence to win, with rex in there the bears might not even get 7 wins

particular Grossman will initiate the 2008 season, except they p.c.. up a veteran QB. in the event that they draft a QB he will take a seat for lots of the season, perhaps the full 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Kyle Orton hasn't shown that he's in a position to step up and be a commencing QB, maximum of his time under middle grow to be constrained available-offs. Brian Griese would be shrink. The Bears have not had a franchise QB considering Sid Luckman. McMahon performed nicely whilst he grow to be healthy.

I have figured out why Rex is so inconsistent. He really does have a confidence problem. Think about it, whenever we face a team that people are questioning whether or not our defense will stack up against them.. or even if our offense is prepared to protect the pocket against their defense, Grossman has continuous sacks and fumbles.
Granted, it's not all on him when he gets sacked. However, the game v. the Chiefs for example... he actually played pretty darn consistent. He was confident because let's face it, the Chiefs aren't the greatest team. Lovie really needs to work with him some more. I said it once and I'll say it again, that line has to want to protect him.. it's obvious they don't.
Should he be the starting QB yes, because he has potential once he gains confidence.

As a Bears fan i have to say that i'm sick of this guy and actually i've seen Brian Griese come in and give the Bears a couple of good drives, and not during pre season. The Bears do have weapons on the field, Berrian as a major deep threat, Moose as an experienced veteran and our new rookie TE Greg Olsen are a couple of the weapons Lovie uses.

Guess where Rex Gross-man ranks in the NFL? He's 32, with a QB rating of 55.1. That really sucks. Brian Griese is a much better QB. I have no idea why everyone loves Rex so much, he's gross, man! He shouldn't even be a back up qb.

i think he gets 1 more crack at it vs. dallas. if he loses the game, or is inconsistent, time to put griese in, he's more experienced than orton right now. orton's got a great arm, but not battle tested enough. probably grossman's last year, doubt contract will be renewed. dont have aclue what lovie sees in this guy.

If they had someone that could prove that they were better, but right they don't, and somehow Grossman did manage to get them to the Superbowl. The Bears need a QB that can stand up and prove that he's better until then they are stuck with Grossman.

No, Rex is not NFL caliber at all. As good as the team is, they should have gotten a guy like Jeff Garcia for a couple years, and drafted someone for a couple years from now.
Or Culpepper, or Bledsoe, or Mike Tomczak for crying out loud! Rex is just awful.
