I'm so not in touch with lately. I was just wondering is South Africa out? What's going on? Can someone give me a quick update on who's going in the super 4 round?

Those Bangladeshis were darn luck. First they nailed India and then South Africa. What's going on? Anyways, please give me an update. Thanks !!

Who will win Australia Or Sri Lanka in the Cricket on the 16/4/2007

2007-04-15 14:57:05 · 19 answers · asked by streetballa360 1

It seems that SA has been getting a lot of negative attention, not only from the English media who are using it as a means of diverting attention from their equally hopeless team but also from fans ranging from England (no surprise there), Aus, Sri Lanka, all over the place, seem to be taking out some sort of personal vendetta against SA.

Yes we are playing like utter crap and we will be out soon but all this ripping into the South African team is just plain childish. I would expect this sort of thing from football fans but not in cricket! India and Pakistan were knocked out in shock defeats but I didn't hear of anyone cussing them - so why single us out?! We're not an arrogant team, we've admitted we've made mistakes every step of the way, unlike England who are the most arrogant of teams, anyone notice that they're playing just as badly?!

Clearly the WC brings out the worst in people as everyone seems to take it so personally! It's really quite pathetic to watch...

Always such people's murders remain suspicuos and never resolved these cases. Look history. Many Known personalities killed but never came to know "who actually killed?". Like General Zia-ul-Haq, Rajeev Gandhi, Bob Woolmer . . . .

De Silva backs Sri Lanka chances

De Silva's century led Sri Lanka to victory in the 1996 final
World Cup winner Aravinda de Silva has tipped Sri Lanka to emulate the success of his 1996 side in the forthcoming tournament in the Caribbean.
"I honestly feel this side have a better chance than we had in 1996.

"The bowling looks good, the batting has depth and the fielding looks sharp. My money is on Sri Lanka," he said.

Sri Lanka begin their campaign with what should be an easy win over Bermuda in Trinidad on 15 March and then take on Bangladesh and India.

i think any system that is so complex you are waiting for the mathematicians to reveal who has finished where, after the final round of games..doesnt allow the spectators and followers of the tournament to participate fully in the excitement as the finale approaches

what are the merits of the these scenarios.

1. the winning team earns a run ratio of the runs they scored divided by the wickets they lost

ie: 300 for 3 earns a ratio of 100 losers score zero
250 for 5 earns a ratio of 50 losers score zero
360 for 6 earns a ratio of 60 losers score zero

if the same team had won all three above matches their run ratio would be 70 [ie 100 +50+60= 210 divided by 3]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

alternatively, if a value could be determined& assigned for one wicket..in terms of its value when set against runs..then the winning team could get two points for a win
+ an additional score based on the..
