I have answered a few questions on the ICC World Cup, but I cannot understand why there are so many moaners and groaners blaming everything from match fixing, players accepting bribes, umpiring decisions etc. Anyone would be very disappointed with their team missing out on winning the Cup, I know I would be, but the only people I would query would be the cricketers themselves. ALL teams played well. The Netherlands, Bangladesh etc. The only reason teams lost was their lack of sustained cricket ability over the carnival. I congratulate all teams who participated.

Adam Gilchrist did this on the Australian coach's instructions. Is it legal by the ICC laws?

Why not allow the four semi-finalists direct entry into next world cup with an entry of Eight teams.
And have a separate qualifying tournament to decide the remaining four teams. This can be conducted in the same or another country well in advance.at least three months earlier.
The minnows too will have exposure to at least four test playing nations.
What are the pros and cons?

Seven runs to win, two batsmen at the crease, both at 94 runs each. Two balls are remaining. The team won & both batsmen made centuries. How could it be possible?

Gigantic players like Gilchrist,Hayden,Pietersen are butchering bowlers all over the ground ~ these we saw in the World Cup Cricket."PowerPlay" is replacing "touch play" in every games like we saw in Hockey & Tennis in last decade. This is sad to see the bowlers become the victims.Don't you think due to this (commercialisation) we & the next generation of viewers are going to miss "late cut", "leg glance","flicks" & touch player like Vishwanath is never to be born?
This americazation of games is really harmful........

In Sri Lanka we had a power cut on final match's nite... because LTTE attacked to Colombo..... all our houses got shivered... because of attacking flights....
Why they chose to attack to Colombo on Final Day???
Actually i think our players also got the news at the same moment...
they played the match with a pressure because of the raining condition ...
I need Your view about this as a good cricket fan...!!

Agree, Disagree? I mean, come on, nobody could even come close to beating the Australians! This is a joke. ICC must review the saleability of the event. One side mauling and no contests are BORING! Performance standards need tro be set for the other 9 teams and if they dont catch up, they need to be left out.
